Maximum Numbers - 39 people in self-catering accommodation

- groups of 10-14 in Chapel House (the Annexe),
- groups of 18-25 in School House (the Main Building)
- groups of 24-39 using the both buildings together

Building work on the Youth Centre started in July 2003.  The Annexe opened at the end of October.  The work on the main building was completed at the end of January 2004.  See the Bookings page for details of how to make a reservation.

School House:

Dining Room with dining tables and chairs, Table Tennis

The Common Room with easy chairs and low tables for the whole party, TV/Video and electronic organ, open fire (bring your own supplies).

 

New for 2007

The Centre has received a grant from the "Local Network Fund" and is establishing wireless internet access at the Centre.  The grant has also enabled the purchase of two desktop computers which are available for groups to use in the main building.  The Centre has also a video projector which can be borrowed (for a modest hire charge), please let the chaplain know at the time of booking if you want to borrow the projector.

Kitchen (All electric) Two catering cookers, warming cupboard, large fridge and freezer, commercial dishwasher and serving hatch to Dining Room.  A full set of crockery and cutlery and a generous number of cooking utensils are provided.

Bedrooms (In the main building) One room with bunks for 6 people, one room with bunks for 4 and a single bed,  two rooms with bunks for 4 people,  one room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed, one room with 2 beds.  Total 25


Chapel House:

Kitchen/Common Room  with dining tables/chairs and lounge chairs, TV and video, fridge/freezer, cooker, sink and crockery & cutlery.

Bedrooms (In the annexe)  Three rooms with bunks for 4 people, one room with 2 beds.  Total 14

Additional notes

Visitors must bring their own sleeping bag, pillowcase and towel etc. Groups are responsible for providing all consumable items including toilet rolls and cleaning materials.

Groups should also bring a First Aid kit.

A mini Orienteering course has been set up in the vicinity of the Centre.  Please ask the chaplain if you would like to use it.  It is suitable for all ages and can be used as a daytime or evening activity and could last from half an hour to one and a half hours as appropriate.

Projection equipment, flip-chart easel and tv & video player are available by arrangement with the Chaplain.

The TV and video can only play pre-recorded tapes, we have no aerial or TV licence for watching regular broadcasts.
